What is a Thin Blue Line Charity Run?
In association with National Police week, we are bringing people together for a 5k/10k run to support and interact with our local law enforcement, all while raising money for a great cause!
The thin blue line is an image that represents the men and women who have chosen to stand in the gap to protect our communities. It is displayed by both members of law enforcement and their supporters. We often use the thin blue line as a symbol to remember and honor fallen law enforcement and the sacrifice they made. While our local law enforcement appreciates, and desires, community support and respect, they have asked that the funds raised be given back to an organization that is making a difference in our community. This year we will be giving all proceeds to “Friends of the Children” for the phenomenal work they do in long-term mentorship of youth facing the hardest challenges.
